Il Sole is a 147' Benetti designed for luxurious transoceanic cruising. Exterior styling by Stefano Natucci features classic lines, oversize windows, and generous outdoor spaces. Modern interiors by Candy and Candy infuse traditional elements with contemporary panache. Exquisite craftsmanship is evident throughout the build, which was originally constructed for the private use of one of Benetti's owners.
Intelligent architecture provides many options for entertaining, socializing and dining. Flexible design equally accommodates large scale functions and intimate gatherings, formal and casual affairs. An ambiance of Old World elegance belies state-of-the-art engineering, high-end entertainment systems and modern amenities. Hints at the Golden Era of yachting are embodied in the curvilinear joinery of exotic woods, the liberal use of elegant marbles, sensual silk wall coverings and carpeting, Lalique glass fixtures and decorative fine art.
The main deck salon is configured for cocktails, canapés and conversation. Comfortable white sofas surround an oversize, marble coffee table and beckon relaxation. A near endless variety of entertainment is available on flat screen television and remarkable Kaleidescape audio visual system, accessible throughout the yacht. An elegant hand-sculpted credenza serves to separate the salon and formal dining area. A handcrafted mahogany dining table with seating for 12 cleverly converts to a gambling table for in-house gaming, complete with roulette wheel and full betting area.
The exquisite full-beam master suite includes a private office and dressing room. Contrasting woodwork in a high gloss finish, delicately embellished silk wall panels, and sensual silk carpeting underfoot create a sumptuous environment. The master bathroom is dramatic, adorned in Venetian black marble with intricately inlaid floor, his and hers sinks, spa bathtub and delightful rain shower.
Guest accommodations are embellished with rich woods and rare, hand-painted silk fabrics. Each stateroom has a unique décor and color palette, yet the eclectic style, which combines traditional craft motifs with Art Deco elements, reflects a design theme consistent throughout the yacht. Notable features include beautifully appointed en suite bathrooms with stunning brass fixtures, soft indirect and under-bed lighting, fine linens and silk throw pillows. Each stateroom is equipped with 17-inch Philips flat screen TV, Crestron MT1000 remote, Satellite TV and the Kaleidescape movie library.
On the bridge deck, guests may enjoy a captain's view from roomy sofa seating at the helm. The radio room is located to starboard and captain's cabin to port. The beautifully appointed skylounge evokes the aristocratic aura of a gentlemen's club, perfect for relaxing with a cocktail, a deck of cards or games, or a feature film on the two-meter drop down screen. Service from the full bar inclines guests to linger, sink down on the custom, sofas and club chairs, and fondly recount the events of the day. Aft, two wave runners, and two tenders are easily launched via two heavy-duty cranes.
The sundeck is a treasured spot for outdoor living, with teak sole, three sets of tables with plush built-in banquettes, a fully-equipped bar topped by regal black marble, and a large spa pool with a surround of sunpads. The barbecue on deck is a delightful option for casual, al fresco dining, with dumb waiter accesses to the galley for ease of service. Upholstery in soft gray velveteen is emboldened by red throw pillows and protected by tinted glass weather guards that keep lounging areas comfortable when underway.
Il Sole carries a full complement of water toys, from inflatables to water skis. Brand new wet suits, snorkel gear and a Bauer dive compressor will please underwater explorers who can plunge right off the generous swim platform into the sea.
