Own a piece of history! Hacker-Craft, formed in Detroit in 1908 by John L Hacker, is the oldest producer of wooden boats in the world.
This 1936 17' Utility is an excellent example of a "pre-war" Hacker-Craft. Used regularly in fresh water, the Chrysler "Ace" starts every time and runs perfectly with that classic wooden boat sound.
Hull #1747 is in excellent condition. The bottom was replaced in 2009 by Dannenberg Boatworks of Filer City, Michigan using 3M 5200. The original Chrysler ACE 6 cylinder engine was rebuilt in 2009 by CD's engine service of Hudsonville, Michigan. A new stainless steel fuel tank was installed in 2009, as well. A custom canvas cover to the waterline is included as well as the custom TrailMaster single axle trailer.
This beautiful, rare boat runs flawlessly and is used regularly during the summer months, always stored inside on the trailer. It's fun, easy to run and maintain.
