History of the Vessel
A fine example of Ditchburn Boatworks' work, this 36 foot launch was originally built as a hotel passenger carrying boat, which was a common requirement at the time.
She was found and salvaged north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and her owner commissioned a comprehensive 3-year restoration to bring her back to her former glory. Skookum, an Ojibwe word for Old Woman, resided on Old Woman Island, following her restoration, in the heart of Lake Muskoka.
