$225,000 USD

The Pacific Trawlers 37 is a very capable vessel and "Haiku" is an outstanding example with upgrades including bow and stern thrusters with remote and a low hour Northern Lights generator.

Built in the Pacific Northwest for cruising in Northwest waters her stable, seaworthy hull is at home in all kinds of weather conditions and sea states. She is economical, too, sipping a mere 2 gallons per hour at eight knots. "Haiku" has more living space in her large salon and adjoining u-shaped galley than other trawlers of her size. There is plenty of storage space available for food and gear. She is a comfortable vessel for long range cruising or living aboard, yet she is simple enough to hop aboard for a quick run over to one of the islands for dinner. "Haiku" is easy to maintain with plenty of room on both sides of the engine and all of the other systems easily accessed. With fiberglass non-skid decks, high grade stainless steel fittings, and a minimal exposed woodwork, her exterior needs little more than a semi-annual wax and polishing. For the discerning cruising couple looking for a well maintained, comfortable, and sea kindly boat, "Haiku" is an excellent choice.

Accommodations

"Haiku" sleeps 5: two in the master stateroom forward in an island queen berth, two occasional guests aft on the salon settee, (easily converts into a queen berth and separated by a privacy curtain), and one on the pilothouse settee/berth.

The raised pilothouse offers exceptional visibility in all directions, complete modern electronics, and split wing doors. These doors can be opened from the top only if desired, for ventilation and visibility. The head is to starboard aft and down from the pilothouse and includes a large fiberglass stall shower, vanity with sink, and an electric stool. The open galley is to port and has generous storage and counter space. A separate under counter refrigerator and freezer, a three burner propane stove with oven, dual stainless sinks, and a microwave oven round out this fully equipped galley. The salon itself is exceptionally large and comfortable with a built in convertible L-shaped settee, table, and captains chairs. The covered aft deck is roomy and inviting for those pleasant evenings and opens onto a wide swim step and boarding ladder.

All together, "Haiku" offers exceptional comfort, convenience and safety. She is perfectly suited for a cruising couple from the Pacific Northwest to Alaska and beyond.

Engine and Mechanical

"Haiku's" unique hull shape cruises comfortably and economically, burning only 2 GPH at 7.9KTs. Her sharply flared bow provides a smooth entry and rapidly increasing buoyancy in step seas, helping to keep her dry forward. Her long keel and hard chine aft make her exceptionally stable and easy to handle with minimal roll even in quartering seas. "Haiku has a bow thruster but maneuvers easily in tight quarters without using it. She responds quickly and predictably to control inputs and can turn 360 degrees in barley more than her own length.
