Westcoast 46 Express

2005 • 46' (14.02 m) • Power

$375,000 USD

BEACH HOUSE is a loaded 46‘ Express based on an impressively seaworthy and efficient hull design by Ed Monk Jr. The original molds were marketed as the 43ft Tollycraft until renowned naval architect Forbes Cooper made significant modifications at their yard in British Columbia. Unique to the Westcoast build process is that each boat is custom crafted to owner specifications.

Twin 370hp Diamond Series Cummins propel her blister-free & robust hull to 23kts while extended cruising speeds produce an efficient 16kts consuming 12gph/side. This express cruiser offers a full-length keel providing strength and tracking ideal for long-range cruising.

A stainless steel-framed cockpit bulkhead opens to a warm mahogany two-cabin/two-head interior. A single stall shower with jack & jill access to either head makes for a clever use of space. In the salon there is a large L-shaped settee to port opposite a beautiful custom cabinet housing a flatsrceen TV with storage.

Tinted salon windows offer panoramic views free from glare. There is also granite counter charting station with custom built-in bar. Forward of the helm there is a down galley with large u-shaped dinette to-starboard. Beneath the seating houses a multitude of storage for longer stays aboard.

The current owner purchased the vessel in late 2019 in very tidy condition from the original owner. Minor routine maintenance items were sited upon inspection, all of which were addressed. Since, this rare fast trawler has been kept with an open checkbook prolonging her rich provenance.

WCY's are built with solid fiberglass below the waterline and 3/8 divinicell sandwich coring above the waterline.

(4) full length stringers and multiple athwartships frames are laminated and bonded for added strength and stiffness.

Strong hull to deck joint combines with a structural upper rub rail to give the boat unparalleled strength where it is needed.
