General Description

The Bayliner 4788 Pilot House Motoryacht combines comfort, an elegant line, and luxury features. The large bridge deck, with its fully-appointed helm and generous lounge seating, allows captain and guests to enjoy the view together. The 4788 features a wide lounge seat sculpted into the foredeck for sunning, a large transom door for easy access to the broad boarding platform, and generous side decks with grab rails for extra security. The master suite includes a large double berth, twin hanging lockers, a separate dressing room with settee that converts to upper and lower bunks, and a private bath with large vanity and enclosed tub. The midship stateroom offers another a double berth and across the companionway is a second bath complete with shower. The 4788 features a fully equipped electric galley, large salon windows, and unencumbered movement throughout the vessel. Standard equipment includes Raytheon radar, Autohelm autopilot, electric anchor windlass, and davit with electric winch.


Salon is surrounded by large sliding windows with screens. There is an L-shaped lounge to starboard that abuts into an entertainment station with cabinetry, a wet bar and ice maker. To port are two barrel chairs. There is a large hi-low table with wings serving as a dining or cocktail table.


The very well appointed galley features an enormous amount of workspace with Corian countertops throughout. There is a large stainless double sink in the island with large cabinet storage below and in the over-head compartments. There is full sized over-under Norcold refrigerator. There is also a Princess three burner electric range above a conventional oven. Complete with a microwave and Frigidaire trash compactor, and expansive cabinet and drawer storage.


The forward master features a full-sized island berth with direct and indirect lighting, ledge, shelf, drawer and cabinet storage to port and starboard and under the bed. There is an overhead opening portlight with shade. There are two hanging lockers. To the starboard is the entry to the private ensuite head with vacuflush toilet, stall shower with tub and sink with mirror.
This particular 47 is configured with the "3rd stateroom" door removed and the space open to the master. This creates a flow-through dressing/sitting room, doubles the master's floor space and provides direct access to the tall mirrored dressing cabinet with hanging space and drawers. The bunks are in place and the space can be reconverted to a private sleeping area via addition of curtain or door.


Guest stateroom is to port behind a privacy door. It features a night table, light, hanging locker and drawer storage.
Across the hall is the day/guest head. It features a vacuflush toilet, separate stall shower and a vanity with sink, mirror and storage.

Additional Information

The 4788 features one of the most truly functional pilothouses in the industry. It sits just a few gentle steps up from the salon, and just a few more down from the bridge. those steps have clear risers providing visibility through the salon to the cockpit.
The dash is arrayed broadly with very conveniently placed controls. There are pilothouse doors port and starboard. The forward and lateral visibility is spectacular. Behind the moveable, tall captain's chair is a comfortable lounge with cocktail table and storage compartments overhead. To the starboard is the main 12V DC/240V AC electrical panel arrayed in an organized, accessible and convenient space. This is one excellent driving station underway, as well as a very useable space for entertaining.

Bridge Deck

The bridge deck is long, broad and comfortable. There's a swiveling captain's chair with arm rests to center/port, a long L-shaped lounge to port, and another bench lounge to starboard. All have massive storage underneath. To starboard, aft of the lounge is an entertainment station with wetbar and storage. On the trailing edge of the bridge deck is a dinghy storage area and davit.
