The Ocean Alexander 85E is a fantastic yacht! They are very reliable, very sea kindly and offer great looks. The layout is user friendly and accommodating. Everywhere you look, you see very well executed joinery and thoughtful design.

‘Fortissimo' has undergone constant upgrading and maintenance. All periodic factory and equipment upgrades are constantly attended to.

WALK-THRU:

The interior is very modern, without being "dated" over time. The layout is open, bright and easy to move about. Separate areas for lounging, dining, cooking, helming and so on are done in way that there is definition to each space, while keeping the open feel.

The dining and saloon areas are just forward of the aft deck and are accessible from the aft deck or through the galley. The dining table comfortably seats 8 people with beautiful views of the outside through the extra-large windows. The modern and stylish furniture is very comfortable. The saloon seating area has an L-shaped sofa and two swivel chairs. The drop-down TV is nicely positioned for maximum viewing. Just forward and to port is a bar area that is sure to handle any guest requests as well as offering storage.

The galley and breakfast dinette are positioned just to starboard of the main deck helm station. The galley is well appointed and capable of preparing enough food for a large party. Forward and starboard is a comfortable dinette that seats several people. The views forward from the helm or dinette are panoramic. There are steps leading down to the guest quarters and up to the flybridge level.

Many boats don't treat the crew well when it comes to accommodations. The Ocean Alexander 85E does an outstanding job of catering to the crew! The lounge area is very comfortable and bright. The head is shared, and it has an oversized shower. The captain's cabin is very comfortable and has its own hull window. The bunk cabin for two more crew is just forward of the captain's cabin. There is easy access to the engine room from the crew quarters.

The helm station is to port, and features exit doors to the side decks on both sides of the bridge. The array of electronics is beautifully executed to allow for easy operation of the vessel. Complete enough to do any job, but not so complex as to be intimidating. Seating for two in extra comfortable, and secure, chairs make piloting the OA 85E a dream experience.

The party starts and ends on the flybridge! What a view! Nearly 360 degrees of unobstructed views delight everyone. The enclosures on three sides provide rain and wind protection, while not interfering with the view. Easily removed/raised to allow fresh air, and quickly deployed in inclement weather. The bar area is always a prime attraction! Just across from the bar is the very large dining table. A sun pad is aft of this and across on the port side is the stainless-steel barbecue. Moving aft is the dinghy storage area that has removable ‘sun light' screening "sails" overhead to provide shade when seated well aft on the upper deck.

Like the lower helm, the instrumentation is meant to serve the helmsman, not overwhelm them. Kept low in order to not interfere with the field of view, the twin screens provide all the navigation information cleanly and clearly. The engine room is the heart of any boat. This is no exception. Very well sound proofed, the engine room is spacious, well laid out and on Fortissimo, kept in great condition!
