By any standard, the 280 is a handsome boat and her wraparound windshield and colorful hull graphics only add to her sportboat appeal. With seating for eight, the cockpit is definitely the star attraction of the Sun Sport. Aside from the big U-shaped lounge aft (which converts into a massive sun pad), there’s a double-wide seat at the helm and a settee opposite. The on-deck galley makes a lot of sense on a boat like this, and there are many cockpit storage areas including fender storage under the settee. Lacking side decks, a walk-through windshield provides foredeck access, and the engine compartment (under the sun pad) is reached via a motorized hatch lift.
