2006 Meridian 580 Pilothouse

Entering aft on to the extended swim platform and then up a couple of steps through the transom door is the generous cockpit. From here one accesses the wide side decks for safe passage to the bow (featuring a wide sun pad area for lounging) , access to lazarette storage and generator underneath. To starboard are molded-in steps leading up to the flybridge. From the cockpit heading forward the salon is entered through a stainless-steel sliding glass door. To port is a plush leather settee,a freestanding or adjustable-height table and built in side table. To starboard is a home theater entertainment center with surround sound, curved leather settee and wrap-around panoramic windows. To port and forward on the same level is the generous open “Country Galley” featuring solid-surface counters, full-size refrigerator/freezer, flush-top electric stove, oven, microwave, double-basin sink, and abundant pantry storage. (See galley section) Opposite and starboard is the dinette area offering an intimate raised seating space with panoramic outward visibility. Proceeding forward up a couple of steps is the Raised Pilothouse/ Lower Helm area. Centered on this level is an adjustable captain's pedestal seat, comprehensive digital engine instrumentation, and navigation electronics. There is also a pilothouse settee featuring a raised U-shaped lounge and table just behind or beside the helm for guests to keep the captain company. To starboard on this level is a convenient starboard pantograph side-deck door for quick line handling and general deck access. Proceeding forward is the companionway stairs leading down to the accommodation level. From this level is access to the luxurious full-beam amidships master suite featuring an athwartships island queen bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers, a private ensuite head, and a tub/shower combination. Forward is the VIP Stateroom featuring a centerline island double berth, overhead hatch for natural light, and private access to the en-suite head which doubles as day head. Opposite and to port is the guest stateroom featuring 90 degree overlapping upper and lower bunks. To port in the landing area is a Bosch washer and dryer and related storage. Going back to the cockpit and up the starboard molded step is the Flybridge and Upper Helm featuring twin pedestal helm seats facing a full duplicate set of engine controls and navigation screens. Aft and to port is large L shaped guest lounge seating area. Opposite to starboard is the entertainment area featuring a fully-equipped wet bar with a refrigerator and sink and an aft deck space capable of storing a tender. Engine room access is through a cockpit hatch and stairwell just to port of the flybridge stairwell.
